A 5-0
win for Spurs was secured by goals from a George Robb hat-trick and a
double from Alfie Stokes.
Spurs were not at their best
despite the final score-line against a Cardiff side who were seven
places off the bottom of the table.
Robb put Tottenham ahead after 16 minutes, from a free-kick in what was
the only goal of the first half.
Spurs almost conceded at the start of the
second half, but the Bluebird's "goal" was ruled out for a foul , then
Tottenham doubled their lead when Blanchflower set up Alfie Stokes, who
took on one man and slid home the second goal. Stokes soon made it
3-0 and although Cardiff struck the crossbar, Robb struck twice more to
complete his hat-trick and wrap up a comfortable win.

A late late equaliser
grabbed a Fourth Round FA Cup replay for the Bluebirds, after Spurs had
taken the lead through a 23rd minute Jimmy Seed goal.
It was nearly 1-1 after 53 minutes when goalkeeper
Bill Jacques caught a ball, but was charged by Len Davies into the goal.
The ball was adjudged to have stayed in front of the line, while the
majority of the keeper's body was over the line. Even though there
were many protests from the crowd, who claimed the ball had clearly
crossed the line, only a corner was awarded.
However, Davies had the last laugh with a last
minute leveller to take the game to White Hart Lane for a replay.
