A one season wonder, John Blair shone brightly in his short time at Tottenham, scoring at a healthy rate.

Starting his career in Scotland with Third Lanark, John Blair caught the attention of Spurs representatives and he signed for the club in 1926, scoring on his debut in the first game of the season and hitting the net regularly throughout the one season he played for Spurs.

At the end of the 1926-27 season, John left to play for Sheffield United, where he had not as good a record, before leaving the Yorkshire club after just one season too.

Finished his footballing career in the Republic of Ireland playing for the now defunct Fordsons club.

John Blair died on 1st January 1972.
