A talented young player who played for the club at Under-17 and Under-19 levels before stepping up to make 21 appearances for the Reserves as a rugged midfielder. On leaving Spurs in March 2004, Bowditch went on to sign for Colchester United in August of that year, despite rumours he was joining Crystal Palace and then subsequently moved to Barnet.
Has represented England at five different levels - Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, Under-19 and Under-20 - making a total of 30 appearances for his country. Was part of the England team in the Under-10 World Cup finals in 2003.
A driving midfielder who could tackle, pass and get forward to join in with attacks, Ben's only slight drawback was that he was not the fastest of players. Spent a short time in Denmark playing for AB (Akademisk Boldklub) Copenhagen on loan, then was released to sign for a season at Barnet and went on to gain Conference South experience with Cambridge City and Yeading.
Was signed by St. Albans for the 2008-09 season on a free transfer from Cambridge City, but Ben was released after making just 14 appearances on 23rd October 2008.
Signed for Bishops Stortford in the summer of 2009 and has gone on to captain the side. In the summer of 2011, Ben moved on to Thurrock FC.
Has a younger brother Dean who played for Ipswich Town and Yeovil Town.
