What John Buckland said about ...
... his time at Spurs and beyond ...  2014

"I had about 18 months to 2 years at Tottenham in the late Seventies.  Keith Burkinshaw was manager, Peter Shreeves was a scout and Robbie Stepney was my coach and another guy called John (but I can't remember surname).

I remember the hard floors of the upstairs and downstairs indoor training halls at White Hart Lane and also the trips by train and bus to Cheshunt for training and games.  Also remember watching Laurie Cunningham play for Orient in an FA Cup game at WHL; not against Spurs but for some reason held at WHL.

Left THFC and went on trial to Hibs for 6 months but lost interest and stopped playing football for a couple of years.

Ended up playing for non league Haringey Borough, Ford Utd and Brimsdown Rovers. I also turned out and played for Arsenal ex pros and celebrities for about five years."
