Played for a number of local sides including Smethwick Centaur, West Smethwick and Wednesfield. before joing his first senior club - Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 1894. Stayed until the summer of 1895 when he joined Hereford Thistle and then moved onto Bloxwich before he was successful with a trial at Tottenham.
Signed in 1985 and was a regular in the Southern League line-up. Played 30 league games and four in the FA Cup, scoring two league goals and three FA Cup goals.
Left to play for Luton Town, before he returned to Spurs for a short spell. Then moved on to Thames Ironworks, Doncaster Rovers, Brentford and then, finally, Watford, where he ended his career.
In October 1910, he was reported in the Tottenham Weekly Herald as being employed as a cricket coach in Sunderland.
Harry died in Coventry during 1943.
