Michael Eade was a junior goalkeeper at the club in 2000, but was not retained and when released by Tottenham in 2001, he went on to be a YTS at Luton Town in 2002 and and stayed at Kenilworth Road for three years before he moved to college in America at Park University, Missouri.

While at Luton, he was loaned to Gillingham in 2004, but failing to make himself a regular at the Hatters, Michael moved to Tyler Junior College in Texas, where he sat out playing during his first year, but moved to Park University where he earned a reputation as a sound keeper, taking the team to the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) National Tournament.  Six clean sheets in 2008 marked Eade out as a player who might have a good future in US soccer.
