Spurs trainer, who came from
Arsenal, where he spent several years. Previously, he has been the
assistant trainer at Newcastle United. Appointed by manager Billy Minter and stayed as trainer at THFC for nearly twenty years. Was said to have a "comprehensive knowledge of anatomy", which helped the players in his charge. Died in 1947, with players wearing black
armbands for the match against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 4th
