FULL NAME : HORACE LOWE
Born on 10th August 1886 in Northwich, Cheshire, England.
Adopted as a child, Harry Lowe moved South from his Northwich home to further his career that ended up at Barcelona !!
Harry played for Northwich Victoria in the Lancashire Combination and in 1913, he joined Brighton and Hove Albion as a forward, but was moved back to centre-half playing in their reserves, but when he was signed by Spurs on 24th April 1914 for £75.
His first two games before the outbreak of war and Harry served with the Tank Corps in World War I. After the conflict had ceased, he resumed his Spurs career, when he was utilised as a half back and made 72 appearances in total for the club before leaving in May 1927 when he signed for Fulham for £250.
Made three appearances for Fulham in the one season he was at Craven Cottage, then went to Spain where he coached Deportivo Espanyol and Real Sociedad. He was then appointed as coach of Barcelona
Returned to England because of the Spanish Civil War in December 1935 and took over as coach of Islington Corinthians before coming back to Tottenham as coach and reserve team manager in 1938.
After World War II, Harry went to manage Yeovil Town in 1951 for two years and also managed at Bournemouth between 1947 and 1950.
He was rumoured to have played for Real Sociedad against Valencia on 24th March 1935 aged 44, but if he was the same player who turned out for Spurs, he would have been 48 years old !!
Harry died in Camden Town on 15th July 1966.
