A highly rated forward, Jacques Maghoma had a good run in the Academy and Reserve sides before being hit by injury in 2006-07.
Jacques hit the net regularly as he worked his way up from the Under-17s to the reserves, before injury restricted his appearances in the 2006-07 season. Recovering from his injury, Maghoma returned to the reserves in 2007-08 and began scoring again.
Had a trial at Leeds
United with a view to a loan spell in September 2008,
but returned to Tottenham and was then linked with a
move to SV Hamburg under previous Spurs manager Martin
Jol. However, the forward was released in June
2009.
Jacques signed for Burton Albion of League Two, choosing them over Hereford United and has played regularly for the Midlands club, catching the eye of the DR Congo selectors, for whom he made his debut in pre-season 2010, when he made some appearance sin friendly intenrationals.
