A strongly built forward, who was also able to play centre-half, Mahorn failed to make the break-through into a regular first team slot and moved on to try and make a career elsewhere.

Went on loan spells at Fulham and Burnley, but although this was to gain first team experience, it did not produce the results the club had hoped for.  A goal from five first team appearances were all Paul had to show from his chances at Spurs, but he joined Port Vale in March 1998 and made one substitute appearance before moving on to Cambridge United, Cambridge City and Stevenage Borough, before disappearing from the scene.
