A stalwart of the side at the turn of the Twentieth Century, Tom Morris was a player with great stamina and energy, which allowed him to join up play from the back by linking with the forwards in what now would be called a 'box-to-box' player. 

His performances in the run to winning the FA Cup in 1901 showed his determination to play his part in the club's success and in pushing them forward towards league football, when he scored five goals in 24 games as the club won the Southern League.

Tom Morris passed away on 25th April 1942.
