Signed as a 16 year old, the promising Norwegian striker was a regular scorer at Tottenham in the youth sides, but as he moved into the reserves, he felt he was not getting the rapid rise through the ranks that he thought he should.
Thus in 2008, he left Tottenham to join Valencia, which was a simple move for him to agree to according to his father. He was playing in their reserves in the 2008-2009 season.
