Croatian born keeper, who Spurs signed in 2010 as experienced back up for their first and second choice keepers with a Champions League campaign ahead.
Pletikosa started with Hajduk Split, making his debut in the 1998-99 season and moved to play in Ukraine with Shakthar Donetsk in 2003. Didn't have a great time there and was loaned back to his previous club for the 2005-06 season. Stayed at Donetsk for another season before moving to Russia with Spartak Moscow.
Played against Spurs in UEFA Cup in 2008 for Spartak Moscow and must have impressed Harry Redknapp, as his interest in the keeper was widely reported in the media. A knee injury interrupted his previous season before he joined Spurs on loan from Spartak Moscow, but he only made one appearance in a League Cup tie against Arsenal in his season long loan with the club.
Returned to Spartak at the end of the season and shortly afterwards he signed for another Russian side - FC Rostov.
Stipe has represented his country numerous times and was with them at Euro 2008 and 2012 and the World Cups of 2002 and 2006.
