Stefano Visi was a goalkeeper who was a trialist in a pre-season friendly against Birmingham City in 1998.
Having played around the lower Italian leagues, he came to the attention of clubs outside his country, when he was preferred to Fransesco Toldo by Cesare Maldini in the Italy Under-21 side that won the 1994 European Under-21 Championship. However, it only brought a move to Sheffield United in 1997, but they failed to play the Italian and he was given a run-out in the one game by Spurs, before they passed on signing him and he returned to his homeland.
In 2007 he re-joined his home-town side Sambenedettese for his third time at the club and made 31 appearances in Serie C1b, before moving on again to Ternana.
