cruised through to the Fifth Round of the FA Youth Cup with a 4-1 win
over Wolverhampton Wanderers at White Hart Lane. A headed goal from 15 yards out from Martin Robinson in the 28th minute of the match put Tottenham 1-0 ahead at half-time, but 13 minutes into the second half, the lead was doubled when Gary Hyams' cross was headed in by Glenn Hoddle. Wolves pulled a goal back through Ian Pearson, but then a 63rd minute left foot strike from Hoddle put the two goal margin back in place. When George Berry brought down Garry Hyams in the penalty area in the 72nd minute, Hoddle complete his hat-trick with the penalty, converted at the second time of asking after the referee ordered a re-take, to see Spurs through.
