06.12.1975 Spurs Reserves completed a convincing 4-1 Football Combination win over Southampton at White Hart Lane.

Gerry Armstrong's header put Tottenham into the lead in the 24th minute, with centre-half Terry Boyle's header from Martin Robinson's corner almost on the half-time whistle doubling Tottenham's advantage.

After the break, Bobby Stokes pulled a goal back for the Saints following a good right wing move, but Spurs hit the net twice in the last twelve minutes to make it 4-1 with Noel Brotherston and Chris McGrath the goal-scorers.

12.04.1975 The Reserves had a 4-0 home win over Southampton in the Football Combination at White Hart Lane, with all the goals scored in the second half.

When Glenn Hoddle chipped a cross to the far post, Steve Walford headed in to give Tottenham the lead, with that being doubled when Neil McNab's shot from the left was poked home by Noel Brotherston.

Brotherston was on the spot to make it 3-0 with a header, when a left wing cross came in and the 4-0 win was rounded off by Chris McGrath's 20 yard shot. There were other opportunities to add to the score, but the Saints defence held out and their attack forced Barry Daines into a few saves.

09.01.1971

Southampton earned a 1-1 draw in the Football Combination at the Lane, but the Spurs Reserves stretched their unbeaten run to 21 games.

Roy Woolcott and John Pratt worked the ball well to allow Pratt a shot, that the keeper couldn't hold and Neil Johnson finished crisply and make it 1-0 to Tottenham in the early stages.

The lead didn't last long, with Bobby Stokes equalising soon after, but Tottenham, with Graeme Souness and Joe Peck making their debuts at this level, were guilty of failing to hit the target with their shooting opportunities.
