A wing half, who also played on the left wing, Wally Alsford gave Spurs six years of service before he left to finish his career with a season at Nottingham Forest.

Alsford made 81 league appearances for Tottenham, with a selection to play in his only game for the national side during his final season at the Lane.

His move to the City Ground saw him make 30 appearances for Forest before he retired in 1937.

Wally Alsford died on 3rd June 1968
