Belfast, Northern Ireland. Height : - .m (' ") Weight : - - kgs (st lbs) Played as a winger and started playing for Dundonald Boys, with the North Down District team and Northern Ireland Boys. Noel played for his local side North Down Boys. Signed as an apprentice at Spurs in September 1972, Noel became a regular in the youth and reserve teams in his early years at White Hart Lane. Noel was an ever-present in Youth team in 1973-74 and in played in the winning FA Youth Cup side that season, making three appearances in the reserve team too. He was upgraded to a full professional in April 1974, but only made one appearance for the club. Later signed for Blackburn Rovers in 1977 and gave them good service over ten years at Ewood Park. . Became a full Northern Ireland international. Having retired from the game, Noel started a career as a painter and decorator in Blackburn. Noel Brotherston died of a heart attack at the young age of 38 on 6th May 1995 in Blackburn, Lancashire.
