Des Bulpin came to Spurs as Youth team manager in November 1994 from same post at QPR.
Born in Scotland, but brought up in Somerset, Des played football locally in the Western League. He started coaching at Bristol City in early 1980s and moved across the city to Rovers in 1983 taking the role as Director of the club's Centre of Excellence. It was at Rovers that he met Gerry Francis, who was installed as the new manager and Bulpin was promoted to Reserve and Youth team boss.
When the call came from
QPR for Francis to return to his old club as the
manager, Bulpin travelled to London with him and in
1993-94, Des took Rangers to the South-East Counties Div
1 title, repeating the success with the Spurs Youth side
in the 1994-95 season
