A defender who read the game well, Harry Erentz was a useful addition to the Spurs side of the turn of the century and an ever-present in the campaign to win the 1901 FA Cup.
His height gave him an advantage in putting opponents off before the ball got to them and he showed in the Cup final and the replay that his talent in nipping in ahead of the other team's forwards helped ensure that there was no threat to the Tottenham goal.
Played 18 times in the Southern League winning side in 1899-1900, showing himself to be a fierce tackler and a reliable defender.
Harry Erentz died on 19th April 1947.
