Joined Leyton FC in the Athenian League before moving to Walthamstow Avenue, where he won an England Amateur cap for playing against Northern Ireland in 1939.

Signed professional for West Ham United in 1939.

Played some war-time matches for Spurs in 1945 and joined the club in March 1946.

During World War II, Foreman also represented the Essex County side on three occasions.

George Foreman died on 19th June 1969.
