Inspiring captain of the 1901 FA Cup winning side, Jack Jones carved a place in the club's history with his outstanding passing ability and intelligent reading of the game.

His asset of being an organising presence on his team-mates in the middle of the pitch was allied with a good awareness of where he should be positioned at any stage of the match and he had a willingness to track back to help out the defenders.  Played 20 games in the season Spurs won the Southern League in 1900.

Jack Jones died on 24th November 1931.
