One of the few players to be at Spurs and Arsenal, Len Julians came through the Spurs youth system, but never made a first team appearance, before dropping into the non-league scene. Len joined Leytonstone, then moved the short hopt o Walthamstow, where he top scored in their Isthmian League championship winning season of 1954-55.
This saw another local side - Leyton Orient - snap him up in the close season and he helped them top the Third Division (South) that season. Arsenal then took him to North London in 1958, with two players making the opposite journey to Brisbane Road, but Julians failed to break into the first team at Highbury on a regular basis, so was sold off to Nottingham Forest, where he played four years of football.
London called again, with
Millwall returning him to the capital in 1960 and after
winning promotion with the Lions on two occasions, he
moved on again, this time further afield to America,
where he turned out for the Detroit Cougars.
Len Julians died in Southend, Essex, England in December
1993.
