A product of the youth system, Neil played for the youth side as a YTS player and progressed to the reserves before being released.
Went on to play for three years at Peterborough United, before playing for five years at Dover Athletic. Played for a season at Crawley Town and half a season at Carshalton Athletic before deciding to give up the game.
Working in 2007 as a
Housing Advice manager in local government.
