Willie McNair was a
Scottish centre forward, who came to White Hart Lane as
an understudy for Vivian Woodward in 1907.
The striker had played with Falkirk before he signed for
Spurs in May 1907. However, McNair only played
when Woodward was invited to take part in exhibition
games. He scored on his Southern League debut in a
3-3 draw with QPR in the season that Spurs went up to
the Football League, but by the time Spurs were promoted
from Division Two, McNair had left the club.
