A young player who starred for the Spurs Academy Under-18 side, but was released and moved around to find a club in the lower divisions.
As a youngster, Luke played in Sunday League football in Kent and for Long Lane in South East London, but had trials at a company called Protec in 2005 and continuing his studies with them, he trialled successfully, gaining offers from Spurs, Reading and Watford, but Medley plumped for Tottenham, who offered him a contract after only three days training with them.
The youngster joined Bradford City after being let go by Tottenham, but started only one match and made eight appearances from the bench, but hit two goals. He was impressive in the reserves, where he hit 10 goals. He was put out on loan to Cambridge City in January 2008 for a month, but returned to Yorkshire at the end of the spell.
Frustrated by his lack of opportunities, Luke refused the offer of a new contract and headed back to London, signing for Barnet, where he had played for the Bees' youth team in the past.
In March 2009, he went out on loan to Havant & Waterlooville to get some first team action.
Was signed by Mansfield Town and they loaned the forward out to League Two Aldershot Town for a month in February 2011.
