A skilful and pretty quick wide midfielder, Mario Noto did not make it out of the Spurs youth side at a time when the club had a good supply of players in that position. A good supplier of balls into the penalty area from the right hand side, Noto also got onto the score-sheet with some good finishing.
Freed by Tottenham, he had a trial with Crystal Palace, with the local newspaper describing him as an "Argentinean" !! Mario joined Reading for a season, then had a couple of trials before dropping down to join Jeff King's Canvey Island, who were one of the non-league clubs with big investment playing in the Nationwide Conference. When King left for Chelmsford City, Noto was one of the players to follow him to the Rymans Premier League club and they stepped up to the Blue Square South division, with Noto being a part of the side's success, but he was hit by injury and was released by Chelmsford City on 17.07.08.
As well as playing for Boreham Wood, Mario also coached the Academy side and the First Team at the club.
Returned to playing when he joined Harlow Town in late 2016 and then moved on to Enfield Town in the summer of 2017.
