Danny Webb is the son of former Chelsea player and Southend United manager David Webb and was a striker turned defender, who did not achieve the heights that were predicted for him as a youngster.
Played in our Academy side before leaving to join Southampton. Spent two loan spells at Brighton, while at Southend United (where his father was manager and Daniel left when he resigned) going on to play for Hull City, Lincoln City (loan), Cambridge United and Yeovil Town (linking up with his manager father again).
Played once under English manager Brian Talbot at Marsaxlokk in Malta in a Champions League qualifier before moving on again to non-league AFC Wimbledon and then onto another number of non-league clubs.
