Having grown up in London with a Colombian background, VIctor Zapata Caciedo joined Spurs as a 12 year old and worked his way through the Academy. He was a goal-scoring wide midfielder and looked as though he had made a good impression on the coaches at the club, having played at Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers youth set-ups before joining Tottenham. However, he was released in the summer of 2014 and had trials with Portsmouth and Scunthorpe United, but he was not taken on and found a club in the Czech Republic at Banik Ostrava.
He only had a handful of games at Banik and in the spring of 2016, he was back in London, playing at the tail-end of the 2015-16 season for Welling United.
