Unofficial tips and advice

AC Milan v Spurs

The Spurs Section is on the Green 3rd Tier (The Curva Nord) Blocks 357 to 343 and 344 to 360. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE IN THE OPPOSITE END TO WHEN WE PLAYED INTER. The Curva Sud is the home of the Milan Ultras. Click on the Blocks for a view http://www.acmilan.com/en/stadium/map_of_the_sectors

We will enter through Entrance GREEN 5 (3 ANELLO VERDE).

There will be many barriers and controls that normally include a check of your Ticket and Passport. You should take these documents. This is Italian Law. Entry is through automated turnstiles, similar to Wembley. We then face a 10-15 minute walk up the winding concrete towers to our Section, where the facilities are very basic.

SINCE WE PLAYED INTER, MAJOR TRANSPORT WORKS HAVE NOW STARTED THAT WILL AFFECT ALL FANS TRAVELLING TO THE SAN SIRO. The crowd v Inter was 49,155 but this time over 75,000 fans will be present. I would advise you to get to the Stadium at least 1 hour before kick off if possible. The journey will take at least 1 hour from the Duomo (Cathedral). Option one is TRAM NUMBER 16 from Piazza Fontana (left hand corner opposite the Duomo) to San Siro. Because of the Transport works the Tram now terminates at
Piazza Monte Falterona. Here you can catch a shuttle bus or walk the 30 minutes to our entrances – ALTHOUGH IT IS SAFE, CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN WALKING PAST THE CURVA SUD ON ROUTE.

Or you can catch the Metro on the RED LINE 1 in the direction of Bisceglie and get off at LOTTO where the Police will put you onto shuttle buses to the Spurs Coach Park and then escort you direct to our Entrances. After the game and the ‘lock in’ the ONLY option back to the Centre will be the 1 mile walk (diverted from last visit) to the LOTTO Metro Station to catch the RED LINE 1 to DUOMO.

442 English Sports Pub, VIA PROCACCINI, 61. Just off CORSO SEMPIONE. The Landlord is happy to welcome Spurs fans and will open from 12 noon to 2.00 a.m. on Matchday.
Please respect the kind hospitality from a friend of mine where the beer is at ‘local’s prices.’
NO IDIOTS PLEASE.

The Pub is 10 mins in a Cab from the Duomo, the Castle and from the three Railway Stations.
To the SAN SIRO by TAXI will take 30 minutes
... ASK FOR PIAZZALE DELLO SPORT, THE CURVA NORD – THIS IS THE SPURS END.

An excellent Pizzeria is the REPLAY, 5 minutes walk at the back of the Duomo http://www.ristorantereplay.it/en/cucina.html

Finally, we should have a great time, this is Milan not Rome and there should be no problems at all with the Milan Ultras or the Italian Police. The San Siro is used to big games and is very well organised. The people of Milan are very friendly and most are happy to speak English. But in the area near the Central Station beware of pickpockets.

COME ON YOU SPURS!
