Bobby Smith set a goal-scoring record of 36 league goals in this season and scored 50 overall.
He beat the record set by Ted Harper back in 1930-31.
He was the leasing goal-scorer in Division one as well.

London took to the field in the International Inter-City Industrial Fairs Cup (which went on to be the UEFA Cup) in this season and reached the final.

 

The London team was selected from the London clubs and Spurs had Danny Blanchflower, Maurice Norman, Bobby Smith and George Robb playing in the first leg in London., which ended 2-2 with Jimmy Greaves of Chelsea scoring one of the goals.

For the return leg in Spain, Barcelona faced a very different XI, which included only Danny Blanchflower, Terry Medwin and Bobby Smith from Spurs, as London crashed 0-6 and 2-8 on aggregate.

 

Former Spurs player Vic Groves appeared in both legs, but was then playing for Arsenal.
