NOTES.
White Hart Lane featured advertising
around the pitch for the first time in a break with club policy for
over 50 years.
From the proceeds of the club's pre-season games, £575 has been donated to footballing and other charitable organisations.
The club added a new ball court, which
was opened at the Lane in September 1972 behind the West Stand.
Graeme Souness and Mike Dillon spent the
summer of 1972 on loan at Montreal Olympic but Dillon thought that
the standard wasn't great, with the Spurs Reserve team likely to
beat most of the teams in the league there.
Club handbook 1972-73 cost £0.12
"Tottenham Hotspur Football Book No. 6" by Peter Smith.
Pat Jennings was voted Football Writers Association
“Footballer of the Year” announced in early April.
Winger Roger Morgan was forced to retire from professional football with injuries to both knees.
