what it's all about.

The Trust aims to bring together everyone with an abiding love and passion for Spurs.  It aims to help secure a better future for the fans, the club, the communities it serves and act as a platform for all fans to have a say on the issues that affect supporters, the club and its community. You are invited to join that partnership

The Trust has been developed with the aid of Supporters Direct, the government funded body. Moreover, it has the full backing of Tottenham Hotspur FC who are keen to involve the supporters in genuine dialogue concerning the club's future. As David Buchler said after the appointment of Glenn Hoddle:

"This club is going to get closer to its supporters group ... It is going to embrace the supporters trust ... it is going to have a communication route with it's supporters; certainly more than it has had in the past ... Hopefully supporters and the club will work together in a real team work effort to build the future of the club that we all seek."

The new Board's decisions will have far-reaching implications for supporters. As fans, we want to be positively involved in shaping the future success of the club.  Likewise the club has said that it wishes to involve supporters in the development process.

The potential for success at Tottenham is enormous.  The potential for the supporters to contribute to that success is beyond measure.

THST Explained:

What is the Trust?
It is an organisation to enable all supporters to address the issues that concern them.  It has been developed with the help of Supporters Direct, a government sponsored body that has worked with many varied clubs to create Trusts.  It is fully endorsed by the club as a way to improve communication with supporters in the future.

Isn't this just another supporters' group?
The Trust will be able to play a far greater and more active role in influencing the club's activities than has ever been possible before.
However, this will only be effective if the Trust represents the views of the majority of Spurs fans.  It will therefore be a totally open and democratic group for all supporters, and aims to provide a voice for everyone, including the silent majority among the fans.  It is not connected to any previous supporter groups, but is a fresh new way of binding supporters and the club.

"This club is going to get closer to its supporters group ... It is going to embrace the supporters trust' ... it is going to have a communication route with it's supporters; certainly more than it has had in the past ... Hopefully supporters and the club will work together in a real team work effort, to build the future of the club that we all seek"
(David Buchler speaking after the appointment of Glenn Hoddle)
